Introducing the Autism Handbook from the Oklahoma Autism Center – a practical guide for families, caregivers, and professionals. It’s filled with up-to-date resources and strategies to better understand and support individuals with autism.
Whether you’re a parent or a professional, this handbook offers accessible guidance for creating supportive environments and building stronger connections with individuals on the autism spectrum.
This form offers a structured framework for interviewing family members of a child who may have autism. It collects essential background information, health history, and family concerns, along with detailed observations of the child's communication, social, and behavioral traits.
Designed to assess the quality of classrooms serving children with autism, this tool includes a checklist based on various quality indicators. Alongside the checklist, the document features a glossary of evidence-based practices with clear, working definitions.
The guide also offers a template for observing and recording student behaviors that may suggest possible autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It provides detailed descriptions and specific examples of behaviors commonly observed in classroom and school settings.
